An Engineer by profession but having strong passion towards performing arts and linguistics. Do MIDI sequencing on computer / Ipad when I have time for myself. Have got good sense of Rhythm, timing and notes. also do DJ stuff sometimes.
Grown up in a musically inclined family and an environment of Hindi and Punjabi songs. Since childhood I have strong flair towards Rhythm and melodies. From early stage on I can remember myself doing beat boxing, singing Hindi songs, humming interludes of many Hindi songs and playing Rhythm on tables, door, almirahs with my bare hands. I also remember how people used to notice my beat boxing. However I did not get chance to learn music formally.
Only after starting professional life in Bombay I came across MIDI technology and some music literature which made it possible for me to experiment with music and start building melodies I knew (or liked) on computer and with my newly bought Roland XP-10 synthesizer and Roland SPD-20 percussion machine. Started making MIDI sequences for various bands / albums in Bombay and Bangalore. Got engaged with a Brazilian percussion group after moving to Germany for playing some heavy percussion instruments. Discovered the south american percussion instrument called 'cajon' after some years which complimented my flair for rhythm and fulfilled my desire to play my favorite music live without resorting to any indian traditional percussion instrument like 'dholki' or 'tabla' or a heavy drum set, for which anyway I didn't have any formal training. After facing a work burnout in 2015, started following passion for music very seriously and started playing percussion instruments (cajon, drums, shaker, guiro, triangle, cabasa, darabuka and so on) with various indian music groups in Munich.
